Page and layout

  • Page sizes: A3, A4, A5, A6, B5, US Letter, US Legal, Tabloid / Ledger and Half Letter, or a custom size from 20 mm to 2 m.
  • Orientation: portrait or landscape.
  • Margin on all four sides, and a paper colour for tinted sheets.
  • Units: switch between millimetres and inches at any time. Visitors in the US, Canada and Mexico start on Letter paper in inches, with a ¼″ grid.
  • Header and footer: an optional title, name and date lines, and a small graphlines.com credit you can turn off.

Downloads and printing

FormatDetails
PDFVector, at true physical size. Choose from 1 to 500 pages in one file.
SVGVector, sized in millimetres. Open it in Inkscape, Illustrator, Affinity or a laser cutter’s software.
PNG150, 300 or 600 dpi, with the resolution stored in the file so it prints at the right size. Very large pages are reduced automatically, and you’re told when.
PrintPrints straight from your browser with the page size already set.

Print at 100% or “Actual size”. “Fit to page” shrinks the sheet slightly, so a 5 mm grid would no longer measure 5 mm.

Preview, sharing and saving

  • A live preview updates as you change any setting. Switch between Fit and an approximate 1:1 view.
  • Copy link puts every setting in the address, so you can bookmark a design or send it to someone.
  • Your last settings are remembered in your browser for next time. Reset returns the current paper type to its defaults.

Private and lightweight

The whole generator runs in your browser. It uses no libraries, loads nothing from other services and has no server side, so nothing you make is uploaded. See the privacy notice.
